Daily breakfast is included in the rental price and it will be served to you daily between 7am - 9.30am. It consists of local fruit juice, organic coffee -grown locally in nearby Quillabamba-, selected herbal teas, eggs (scrambled usually), milk, bread, butter and jelly.
We have teamed up with René Rodriguez, renowned chef and owner of several gourmet restaurants in the area to offer you 3 meal options. With Rene's ample experience at Orient Express, Tambo del Inka and Inkaterra luxury hotels you can taste some examples of the amazing Peruvian cuisine without leaving Kantuwasi. Pachamanca. (TEMPORARILY NOT AVAILABLE)
Our award-wining staff will prepare this traditional Andean dish. Cooked over the course of several hours, the Pachamanca involves a mixture of spiced meat (pork, beef and chicken) and vegetables buried amidst hot stones. Vegetables include potatoes, green lima beans, sweet potatoes, corn among other local specialities. A glass of Chicha de Jora, the traditional Inca corn beer is also included. Price per person: USD 35. This service must be arranged at least 4-5 days in advance. Sunday not available. Price is for at least 6 guests. Gourmet meal. A complete 3-course menu will be delivered to the house you are staying at. Local culinary creations -prepared with the highest professional standards and cooked with the utmost care- include Salads, Cream Soups, Ravioli, Andean Trout, etc. Click here for the complete menu, including vegetarian and gluten-free options. Culinary experience. A 5-course menu will be served and explained by René Rodriguez himself during this 2-3 hour experience. Examples include: Stuffed Rocoto peppers with shrimp, Ullucus (native potato) cream soup with anatto oil, Andean-plateau Trout and broad-bean puree with beurre noir (black butter), Passion fruit semifreddo, etc. The chef can adapt the menu to your particular preferences (i.e. food allergies, etc).
